NO FCRA USE. This is a private website, separate from Clarke County, Virginia courts, and law-enforcement offices. Neither this site nor its advertising partners offer services for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another purpose governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site provides general information about finding county warrant and case records. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is an independently operated reference site, not a court, sheriff’s office, or government service. We do not keep official warrant files and cannot confirm a person’s status, recall court process, take bond, or submit a court filing for you.
For Clarke County court records, contact the clerk for the Circuit, General District, or Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court that handled the case. Questions about service or Sheriff-held records go to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office. Berryville Police is a separate route for Berryville police records. Virginia’s online case search can help locate court cases but is not a complete active-warrant roster.
2. Informational Use Only
Pages describe local offices and general record procedures for Clarke County. They do not replace the court file, an official response from the Sheriff’s Office, or advice from an attorney. Use the guide to identify a likely record holder, then confirm important details with the issuing court or law-enforcement office responsible for the record.
3. Not for Screening or Locating People
This site is intended to help visitors understand public record routes and learn how to address their own case or a family member’s case. It is not a people-finding or investigative service. You agree not to use this site or any linked tool to:
- Screen anyone for employment, housing, tenancy, or credit
- Locate, monitor, track, or target any individual
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone
- Make any decision covered by the FCRA (see below)
4. Rules for Using This Site
As a condition of using this site, you agree not to:
- Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
- Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
- Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
- Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it
5. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare consumer reports or background checks. We and our advertising partners do not provide services for evaluating applicants, tenants, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. You agree not to use material from this site or its linked tools to:
- Decide whether to hire or fire someone
- Screen potential renters or housing applicants
- Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
- Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
- Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
For a legally regulated screening purpose, use a provider that meets applicable FCRA requirements.
6. No Legal Advice
Nothing here is legal advice. We cannot determine how a warrant, charge, bond amount, or hearing date applies to a person’s circumstances. Speak with a Virginia lawyer about advice for a specific case.
7. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed
All site content is supplied “as is.” We make no promise that:
- The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
- The site will stay up and running without interruptions
- Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
- Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate
Court process and service records can change after a page or search result is updated. Virginia’s online court information may show case details without establishing whether a warrant remains active, and Clarke County does not publish a Sheriff active-warrant roster. This guide is not an official statement by a court or law-enforcement office. Confirm status with the court that issued the process or the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may lead to Clarke County or Berryville offices, Virginia court services, legal aid organizations, and outside search providers. Those services operate independently. We do not control their content, fees, privacy practices, or availability; review their terms before using them. A request for an existing Sheriff record should follow the county’s FOIA instructions. Virginia Code § 2.2-3704 generally requires a response within five working days to a specific public-record request and allows reasonable costs.
9. Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, logos, and code on this site belong to Clarke County Warrant Records or the respective content owners. Do not reproduce, distribute, modify, or reuse protected material without written permission from its owner.
10. Limits on Our Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Clarke County Warrant Records is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of this site, including a decision based on its content or an outside service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims or expenses arising from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms, including reasonable legal costs where allowed.
12. Governing Law
Virginia law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to use of this site must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Virginia.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms as the site changes. A revision takes effect when posted on this page.
Questions About These Clarke County Terms
Can you tell me if I have a warrant?
No. This site cannot query an official warrant system. Start with the warrant search guide or ask the issuing Clarke County court clerk.
Can you recall or clear a warrant for me?
No. The court that issued the process controls recall. Consult a lawyer and contact that court.
Is a warrant listing on a linked tool official?
No. Outside search results can be incomplete or old. Ask the issuing court or Clarke County Sheriff’s Office to confirm the official status.
